Firm Overview

LAUREEN A. CAMERON, Esquire Graduated from the New College of the University of South Florida (honors college for the Florida State University system) in 1988 with a B.A. in Economics. She then attended Stetson University College of Law and graduated in 1991. Ms. Cameron initially began practicing law for Gulfcoast Legal Services with its offices in Bradenton and Sarasota and then with the Legal Aid Society of Orange County for three years providing legal services in the areas of divorce, consumer, elder, and housing law. At both of these positions, Ms. Cameron obtained extensive civil trial litigation experience including handling federal and class action cases. She also conducted community outreach programs to the elderly on such topics as Asset Protection; Living Wills, Powers of Attorney, etc. After spending three years in Orlando, Ms. Cameron returned to Sarasota where she worked for Padereweski, Dannheisser and Sweeting, P.A. specializing in civil litigation matters. Again, Ms. Cameron’s legal practice was focused solely on litigation in particular civil cases. Before opening her own practice in 2001, Ms Cameron was with the firm of Dickinson & Gibbons, P.A., specializing in family and criminal law matters for three years. She gained extensive experience in criminal and traffic law while expanding her range of family law practice and experience. Starting her own legal practice in 2001 was always a professional and personal goal for Ms. Cameron and she looks forward to continuing to assist clients in the Firm’s area of services. Ms. Cameron utilizes her spare time by providing pro bono legal services to the Family Law Connection, Manasota Legal Aid, and the Sarasota Women’s Resource Center.
